CoderPulse is a menu-bar companion for indie developers: a daily App Store sales digest, plus timely alerts for new reviews and app review-status changes while the Mac app is running. It connects directly to Apple with your own API key and has no developer-operated backend.
How do I connect my account?
In App Store Connect β Users and Access β Integrations β App Store Connect API, generate a Team Key with the Admin (or Finance) role. Download the .p8 file and note the Key ID and the Issuer ID (top of the page). Enter all three in CoderPulse. Make sure it's an App Store Connect API key, not an APNs push key.
Why is the sales data "yesterday's"?
Apple's Sales and Trends reports are generated next-day (around 8am Pacific). This is an Apple-side constraint for all tools β CoderPulse delivers it as a clean daily morning digest rather than pretending to be real-time.
I don't have an API key β can I try it first?
Yes. CoderPulse starts in Demo mode with representative sample data, so you can explore the whole interface before connecting.
Sales data isn't showing up
The sales digest needs your Vendor Number (in App Store Connect β Sales and Trends, top-left, ~8 digits) and an API key with the Admin or Finance role. Reviews and review-status work with lower-privilege keys, but sales reports require Admin/Finance.
I'm not receiving notifications
Check that: (1) the Mac app is running (it lives in the menu bar and stops checking once quit); (2) notifications are allowed for CoderPulse in System Settings β Notifications; (3) review alerts respect the filter you chose in settings (e.g. "β€3 stars only"), while review-status changes always alert. The free tier doesn't send real alerts (use "Send test notification" to verify the channel) β upgrade to Pro to enable them.
How do I upgrade or restore Pro?
Upgrade in CoderPulse under Settings β Pro β a one-time purchase, no subscription. On a new device or after reinstalling, tap "Restore Purchases" in the same place (Universal Purchase, shared across Mac and iPhone).
Which devices are supported?
CoderPulse supports macOS, iPhone, and Apple Watch, with a single Universal Purchase across platforms. The Mac app is the primary menu-bar experience; iPhone and Apple Watch are read-only companions for checking your dashboard anytime.
Is my API key safe?
Your key stays in the device Keychain and is never sent to the CoderPulse developer. When iCloud Keychain is enabled, Apple may sync it end-to-end encrypted between your devices. See our Privacy Policy.
Using it on more than one device
Your account can sync across your devices via iCloud Keychain (end-to-end encrypted). On a second device, the onboarding screen offers "Restore account from iCloud".
How do I delete my data?
In CoderPulse under Settings β Account, tap "Disconnect" to remove the on-device API key and all cached data, and to remove the iCloud-synced account. Deleting the app also clears on-device data.
